All you have to do is buy the horizontal side cover and retrofit it with a motor plate. It’s the same thing basically.

its always been a thing to do it on the cheap, you just fill the crank case enough that the rod can dip into the oil. It wont last forever but will be enough to have fun with for awhile. Other things ive done is just get a piece of sheet metal and make a dipper and bolt it to one rod bolt, works well.

At 103. You can see that this engine has a oil pump. All you had to do is add a tube to the bottom to the sump. And with the gear on the governor also acts like a oil Salinger as in a opposed twin B&G .not to mention the balance shaft was was doing the same thing also . kids look shit up before you try something you might just learn how to do things the right way. Welding steel to aluminum rarely works. Those engines had aluminum blocks. Where a plug would have done well, you tried to fuse a washer.

I've done this a bunch of times You undo one bolt and the connecting arm to the crank shaft. Take a piece of coffee can or soup. Can bend it in a way that will scoop and throw oil. Make sure you rotate it. So it's not hitting. Anything I used to make Go-Karts with them all the time.

You would have been far better off tapping the aluminum engine case for the new fill plug and just leaving the fill plugs in the old holes.

The best transmission to get for these is either a mst 206 or the better one is the peerless 920

I agree with @PorousShark7688 in the fact that if you could flip the choke on then that would give you flames. I just bought the same dual carbs as you have on that engine for my modified mower project. Also, there should be some adjustment in your air/fuel mixture on your carburetors. If you richen up your mixture, you will have big flames all of the time (although it will run like garbage and foul out the plugs on your engine) as long as you give it a tiny bit of throttle. My only advice to you is that you should take note of your current adjustments on your carburetors and when you are done shooting flames, then put them back to how they were. The engine that you used in this video looks like the same one as what you swapped into the primer gray lawn mower that you had on the 70 mph mower challenge part two. It also looks like the same engine as what was in your mower that had the hood covered in stickers (now the honda 650 swapped mower) that you were drifting in town in the winter about 1 year ago. Do you just switch the parts between the mowers for the videos or are they all drivable at any time? Not a bad thing, but I was just curious. Thanks for a great video!

To help with belt slip u can drill 1/8in holes in the sides of the pulley that’s what I did on my mud mower it helped alot

the bogging is due to too much idle fuel its stagnating somewhere in a bend or sum so it sucks too much fuel on idle or complete opposite no fuel at idle

I tuned the carb on my moped to do that😂. You need a lean idle and a rich wide open throttle. You'll get some loud pops and flames without sparkplugs.
